These are all excellent questions although some overlap or are just the flip side of another question.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to asking if the quota system is legal in Japan, you might want to look at whether it is being used (regardless of "legality) in various industries and levels of government. There are many levels of government and I suspect that at the local level we might see much more variation in the adoption of quotas or simply "rules of thumb" that make for greater representation of women in one setting rather than another.
